Primary Section students celebrate Sports day in style and grandeur
‘Sports Day Celebration 2014’ for students of Std. I to VIII was held on 20th February 2014. The dignitaries present were Ms. Geetha Neelakanthan, Principal, Dharmendra Dave sir and Vikram Vaja Sir, Sindhu Ma’am and Deepak Sir. The programme started with a prayer song followed by March Past of four houses – Subhash, Tagore, Ashok and Raman amongst the drums. The Torch of spirit was lit by our Principal ma’am and was carried by the students of four houses. After the Oath taking ceremony the Sports Day Meet was declared open. Principal ma’am and the Chief Guests addressed the students extolling the importance of sports in one’s life.
Later the programme was followed by colorful opening ceremony that comprised of events like drills of rings, dumbbells, lezyms, aerobics etc. Finals of 100 meter running race, relay race, tug of war, king of circle, bucket with water, camel race etc were held.
The event was a grand success . The excitement and enthusiasm displayed by the staff and students was commendable!
